Workshop on battery modeling requirements for stationary storage systems within the open_BEA project

On April 15, 2019, a workshop on the topic "Requirements for Battery Modeling of Stationary Storage" was held at the Center for Energy and Information (ZEI) in Garching. Within the open_BEA project the following topics were discussed together with numerous participants from industry and research

  • Applications of stationary storage and their cost-effectiveness
  • Aging modeling of storage systems
  • Redox-Flow storage systems and future battery technology

The organizers, consisting of employees of the Reiner Lemoine Institute (RLI), of the Bavarian Center for Applied Energy Research e.V. (ZAE) and of the Institute of Electrical Energy Storage Technology (EES), would like to thank all participants for the valuable contributions and the productive exchange.

In March 2020, another workshop is planned with the focus on modeling power grids with integrated storage facilities at the Reiner Lemoine Institute in Berlin.
